Faculty of Education

The faculty of education at Albaha university has been incorporated to the university since its establishment. It used to be named as teachers’ college of education that were directly administered by the Ministry of Education since 1409. According to the decree number 3514/ MB dated on 3/5/1427 and the agreement of Saudi government number 10/5/1429 in 29/4/1429 the faculty of teachers’ Education directly become administered By Albaha University and named the faculty of education.

Master of Special Education (Nurturing gifted and talented)

Overview

This program was designed in 2011 to qualify teachers in the field of gifted and talented care.

Vision

Achieving quality and excellence by providing a distinguished environment for teaching and learning at university level, and supporting the community in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Education to achieve its goals in educating gifted and outstanding students.

Mission

Qualifying the workers in the field of education with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of talent and creativity and building a generation of experts in this field through improving and developing methods that are appropriate for gifted and the outstanding learners with cooperation between Al Baha and Ohio Universities.

Objectives

The Master's program aims to:

 

-1Preparing scientific and leadership cadres in the field of talent, giftedness, and creativity.

-2 Preparing distinguished researchers to contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of talent and creativity.

-3 Providing consultancy and training services to governmental and non-governmental institutions and services to detect talented and creative people

-4 Providing training programs in the field of caring for talented and creative people.

-5 to identify the characteristics and features that distinguish the category of talented and creative from others.

-6 Providing learners methods and techniques to detect the category of talented and creative.

-7 Enabling learners of the necessary competencies and experiences that help them in determining the learning needs of the gifted and creative category.

-8Providing the students in the program with the necessary knowledge and experience in the methods of teaching talented and creative students in their schools and centers.

9 - Developing the skills of learners in the enrichment programs for talented and creative in ordinary schools.

10- Providing the students with the skills of developing programs for the talented, creative, and planning to teach them.

11- Enabling learners to use technology in teaching talented and creative people.

12- Providing learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to guide talented and creative students.
