The department of education and psychology is one of the main pillars of the college of education at Al-Baha University. Where undergraduate students study a range of courses within the framework of general educational preparation. The department seeks to work in complementarity with other academic and support departments to prepare and qualify the personality of the teacher of the future. In addition to be a distinguished graduate , capable of achieving the requirements of the labor market in the light of international quality standards and achieving sustainable development, competitiveness locally,  regionally and internationally from the perspective of the Kingdom's vision 2030.                                                                                           

    The department also provided and supervised several high graduate programs such as (general diploma in education, guidance and counseling diploma, and master of psychological guidance and counseling).                                                                                            

    The department is keen to respond for educational and community institutions requirements through introducing educational, scientific courses and seminars, furthermore educational and psychological counseling services at the hands of a group of professors and specialized staff with professionally and academically expertise.

Provide leading psychological and educational programs in the field of education and psychology. Furthermore, preparing, rehabilitation teachers through programs, educational plans, scientific research and professional workshops at bachelor, educational diploma, and master's degree in psychology and education. It includes guidance and counseling programs, and general diploma in education to obtain high competencies to serve the community and respond its needs. As well as planning and implementation of academic, professional programs and research to develop educational staff for teaching and cooperation with educational institutions inside and outside the university.

•  Providing learners with knowledge, experience, skills and theories related to education, mental health, and psychological, family, marriage counseling.                                                                                                 

•  Training learners on the skills of modern scientific research in all educational stages, various programs, and specializations in the field of education, mental health, and psychological, family, marriage counseling.                                                                                                

• Providing learners positive attitudes towards the teaching profession.

•   Achieving superiority in community service in the field of education, mental health, and psychological, family, marriage counseling.             

•  Keeping up with the requirements of achieving the vision of the college, and the university by superiority, and leadership to reach the global.                                                                                                          

•  Prepare and qualify teachers before, and during service to respond the needs of the community in the field of education, mental health, and psychological, family, marriage counseling.                                                

•   Developing plans, courses and educational programs periodically in line with the requirements of modern times.                                            

•  Providing training courses, supervisory programs, educational counseling, and psychological counseling within the university environment, and various external community institutions
