Department of Microbiology

About

The department teaches the basics of microbiology where students gain good knowledge about the background of microbes, their nature, taxonomy, and morphology. Students also learn about clinical microbiology; about the effects of different microorganisms on the body, its response, and how it can cope when treatment is given. In addition to the latter, hospital infection control is also taught. Here students have the chance to learn how they can protect their patients from hospital acquired infections. The department is still growing and we are in need of more colleagues from both genders.
