It used to be named as teachers’ college of education that were directly administered by the Ministry of Education since 1409. According to the decree number 3514/ MB dated on 3/5/1427 and the agreement of Saudi government number 10/5/1429 in 29/4/1429 the faculty of teachers’ Education directly become administered By Albaha University and named the faculty of education.

Higher Diploma Program in Physical Education for Girls

Overview

The implementation of physical education for girls in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began with the decision of the Minister of Education to "start the implementation of the physical education program in girls' schools from the academic year 1438/1439 AH, so that the program is implemented in accordance with Shari'ah controls and gradually according to the capabilities available in each school.

The decision of the Ministry of Education to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in seeking to increase the proportion of sports practitioners in the community, according to the axis of a vibrant society environment full of «The happiness of citizens and residents is our top priority, and their happiness does not occur without completing their physical, psychological and social health. To build a healthy lifestyle. ”

Due to the obvious shortage of physical education teachers, the Ministry of Education has adopted the task of finding physical education teachers for girls quickly, through the idea of ​​diploma for women with a bachelor's degree in related disciplines. Bachelor degree in family education, nominated through the Ministry, to contribute to the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by preparing qualified cadres to create new job opportunities, and raise the level of community awareness about the importance of Saudi women's practice Physical activities and intifada. To be rehabilitated as physical education teachers by studying regularly for two semesters.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education started offering the Higher Diploma in Physical Education for Girls for one year, starting from the academic year 1439/1440 AH in (11) local universities, including Al Baha University because of its material and human potential capable of providing high quality curricula to qualify cadres. To teach the physical education class which will be adopted later as a basic curriculum, the ministry aims to grant diploma in the first batch to qualify 400 teachers.

The Physical Education Diploma Program is in line with the mission of Al Baha University to be inclusive of women, distinguished by its educational leadership and scientific research, and contribute to building the knowledge economy with a community and global partnership.
