As per Article No. (48) of the regulations governing financial affairs in universities from the Council of Higher Education and Universities, the Sheikh Saeed Al-Anqari Chair for Olive Research was established at Al-Baha University. The University Council approved this through Resolution No. 13 dated 11/5/1435 AH. The chair was established on 12/8/1435 AH, and its work began then. Subsequently, the chair's period was extended for fifteen months, starting from 13/5/1439 AH.

The fund was extended for an additional fifteen months after the initial three-year period.
