The Institute of Studies and Consulting Services at Al-Baha University was established on 23/5/1433 AH to activate the university's leading and strategic role and contribute effectively to serving the community of Al-Baha region in particular and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, due to the university's specialists in various academic, research and administrative fields, as well as the availability of spatial, equitable and laboratory capabilities that enable all government and private sectors to benefit from all these elements to support social, economic, environmental and scientific development based on applied scientific research. Conducting studies, research, programs, plans and strategies, organizing meetings, conferences, seminars, panel discussions and workshops specialized in all topics of interest to society, and building investment partnerships with governmental and private bodies and institutions and others.

About the Vice Deanship

The Vice Deanship for Investment Affairs at Al-Baha University aims to develop and enhance investment opportunities across university facilities to achieve financial sustainability and optimize resource utilization.
The Vice Deanship works on investing in university lands and facilities through innovative projects and strategic partnerships that add value to the university and the community.
It also strives to transform these sites into sustainable projects that support economic and social development while adhering to the highest standards of quality and innovation. The ultimate goal is to reinforce the university’s role as a driving force for local and regional development.

Objectives

  • Contribute to diversifying the university’s financial resources and developing mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with the private sector to operate investment activities according to the highest standards.

  • Increase revenue and achieve financial sustainability.

Tasks

  • Approving financial regulations and executive rules for university investments.

  • Identifying the university’s expected investment opportunities.

  • Reviewing and evaluating submitted investment proposals and selecting the most suitable offer.

  • Conducting feasibility studies for projects and investments desired by the university.

  • Reviewing market prices for targeted investments and setting investment ceilings.

  • Studying investment ranges:

  • Limited / Seasonal / Short-term (5 years or less)

  • Medium-term (10 years)

  • Long-term (25 years or more)

  • Reviewing contracts related to the university’s real estate and properties and taking necessary action.

  • Reviewing financial and administrative reports, expenditures, marketing plans, and advertisements.

  • Approving contracts and partnerships with the private sector or other government entities.
