The Institute of Studies and Consulting Services at Al-Baha University was established on 23/5/1433 AH to activate the university's leading and strategic role and contribute effectively to serving the community of Al-Baha region in particular and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, due to the university's specialists in various academic, research and administrative fields, as well as the availability of spatial, equitable and laboratory capabilities that enable all government and private sectors to benefit from all these elements to support social, economic, environmental and scientific development based on applied scientific research. Conducting studies, research, programs, plans and strategies, organizing meetings, conferences, seminars, panel discussions and workshops specialized in all topics of interest to society, and building investment partnerships with governmental and private bodies and institutions and others.

Chair's Brief: An Essential Overview

   Sheikh Saeed bin Ali Al-Anqari, Chair for Olive Research, is the first research chair at Al-Baha University. The establishment of the chair was initiated under the directives of HRH of the Al-Baha region to focus the university's scientific research activities on serving the overall development in the region, with a specific emphasis on agricultural development.The project aims to promote agriculture as a cornerstone of national development, foster a research culture, encourage collaborative work through scientific research teams, and train local talent in the latest scientific technologies.

   The chair also seeks to enhance the capabilities of researchers and graduate students, develop new tracks in applied scientific research based on new theories, improve methods of olive cultivation in Al-Baha, address problems and challenges faced by farmers, enhance their scientific knowledge, improve their professional skills, and establish cooperative relationships with internationally renowned research and scientific institutions to foster global partnerships in the advancement of olive cultivation research. Additionally, the chair aims to expand human knowledge and underscore the university's role in developing the agricultural sector and in translating and authoring scientific publications.
