The faculty of education at Albaha university has been incorporated to the university since its establishment. It used to be named as teachers’ college of education that were directly administered by the Ministry of Education since 1409. According to the decree number 3514/ MB dated on 3/5/1427 and the agreement of Saudi government number 10/5/1429 in 29/4/1429 the faculty of teachers’ Education directly become administered By Albaha University and named the faculty of education.

GENERAL DIPLOMA IN GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SCHOOL

Overview

Based on the objectives and mission of AlBaha University in the development of society and meet its educational and social needs, the Higher Diploma Program in Guidance and Counseling School comes to provide a distinguished and qualitative service to qualify workers in the educational field and develop their abilities to contribute to the improvement and development of extension services in the educational environment. Student counseling, which raises the level of specialist or student counselor in providing distinctive and effective counseling service, through study for two semesters coupled with the application and the guiding practice that qualifies the student To work effectively the Elbe and the skill of a professional and personal level amount of extension service in the educational field. The program offers a Higher Diploma degree in guidance and counseling school.

The mission of the program is to develop the skills of the potential of male and female student counselors in providing distinctive guidance work that contributes to the personal and social compatibility of the target group, the students of general education.

The vision

The vision of the program is to provide advanced and effective counseling services to face the difficulties that may be faced by students of environmental  education, whether academic, emotional or behavioral, and to help students acquire personal developmental skills that contribute to the formation of the next generation of psychologically sound and intellectual contribute to building a productive and ambitious society.

Objectives

The program aims to prepare a counselor students who provide counseling services in an effective and distinctive way for students from all aspects of psychological, social and academic.
