The aim of the current research is to reveal the relationship between orientation towards life and control of anger among undergraduate students in light of both specialization and Academic level and the ability of anger control to predict the orientation towards life. The researcher adopted the descriptive comparative correlational design, applying the Scale of orientation towards life of Schaire and Carver (1985) Scheier & Carver) (Arabized by Al-Ansari, 2010), and anger management scale (Prepared by Hamza, 2012). This is based on a sample of (379) female students at Shaqra University. (265 from the College of Education and Kindergarten, 114 from the College of Sciences and Humanities), (99 students in the first year, 92 in the second year, 81 in the third year, and 107 in the fourth year). The results showed a statistically significant inverse correlation at a level of 0.01 between orientation towards life and control of anger and its sub-dimensions, and the existence of statistically significant differences at a significance level of 0.01 between students of the College of Education and Kindergarten, and students of the College of Sciences and Humanities in the two variables of orientation towards life (c = 3.149) and external anger (T = 3.095), and at a significance level of 0.05 in the variable of anger intensity (T = 2.066) in favor of female students in the College of Education and Kindergarten. On the other hand, there were no differences in the variables of psychosomatic symptoms, self-anger, external anger, and intensity of anger in light of Academic level variable. However, statistically significant differences were found in the orientation towards life between first- and third-year students at a significance level of 0.01 in favor of third year students, and in anger stimuli between second- and fourth-year students at a significance level of 0.05 in favor of second year students. Anger control has predictive power through Orientation towards life. Keywords: Orientation Towards Life, Anger Control, Undergraduate Students, Academic Specialization, Academic Level.

The Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI)which developed by (Parker, Tupling, and Brown, 1979) is widely used by researchers and professionals to assess parent-adolescent relationships. The purpose of this study was to validate an Arabic version of the PBI for Saudi adolescents. Participants from intermediate and secondary schools were 156 boys and 145 girls from schools in Riyadh. The mean age for participants was 15.47 years old and the age range was 13 – 18 years. Methods used were back translation, assessment of semantic equivalence, face validity, analysis of internal consistency of sub-scales, analysis of the factor structure. Correlations were calculated between PBI and measures of self-esteem, depression and bullying to provide an estimate of concurrent validity. Results found good internal consistency for the Mother Care and Father Care subscales, but poor internal consistency for the Mother Overprotection and Father Overprotection subscales. Factor analysis resulted in 3 factors (care, encouragement of behavioural freedom and denial of psychological autonomy). Significant correlations with self-esteem, depression, bullying and victimisation of bullying were found. Conclusions were that the Care subscale is suitable for use with Arab adolescents, but cultural factors impacted the suitability of the Overprotection subscale. This paper deals with the dialectical relationship between self and time in the ancient Arab poem through a reading in the poem Al-Asha in praise of Qais Al-Kindi in order to reveal these tricks that the poet took to confront time, through an interpretive analytical study that takes verbal structures as a bridge to cross over to the semantics inherent in the text. And by tracing them in the poem, it was noticed that they revolve in three circles, each of which represents an act specific to a specific stage of time, and these actions are: the act of self-indulgence, represented in the text by alcohol and women, the act of resistance, represented by the journey, the act of life and represented by the praised. The research was divided phases to fit the sequential reading with the order of the poem, after an introduction and an introduction to the search terms, and a definition of the relationship between the poet and time through the text, which was represented in the confrontation decision, and it was in three stages. Two elements, namely: wine and women, and the second stage, which is the act of resistance, which it represents in the journey, and the third stage, which is the act of life, which is represented in the praise, and includes the gifts of life and strength for life.
