About the Vice Deanship
The Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies, Research, Innovation, and Quality is directly affiliated with the College Vice Dean. It oversees graduate programs within the College and coordinates with academic departments to introduce new programs aligned with labor market requirements. The Vice Deanship also supervises academic accreditation processes for college programs, monitors the implementation of approved academic programs and study plans, and works to enhance scientific research output within the College. It includes the Graduate Studies and Postgraduate Unit, the Quality Unit, and the Scientific Research and Training Unit.
Objectives

- Increasing the quality and quantity of research output in the College to support the university’s research priorities.

- Monitoring labor market needs and trends to develop graduate programs aligned with market requirements.
- Establishing and improving sustainable systems and practices to enhance the efficiency of academic accreditation for college programs.
- Strengthening partnerships with public and private sector institutions and relevant stakeholders.
- Developing the skills and capabilities of college staff to achieve excellence across all programs.
- Supporting faculty members in increasing high-quality scientific research output.
- Developing faculty members’ skills in scientific research, publishing, and research ethics.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Studies and Postgraduate Unit
- Monitoring developments and labor market requirements.
- Establishing a database for graduate students, lecturers, and postgraduate students across all college programs.
- Continuous communication with postgraduate students and monitoring their academic progress.
- Creating and maintaining a database for graduate students in the College.
- Preparing an annual report clarifying the academic status of each student enrolled in postgraduate programs at the end of each academic year.
Responsibilities of the Quality Unit
- Implementing the university’s quality assurance system and ensuring its application across college programs and units.
- Ensuring effective implementation of quality policies and practices at the student and faculty levels, and working to achieve efficiency in activities and procedures related to quality assurance.
- Providing support to college staff in preparing academic accreditation files and program accreditation processes.
- Supervising internal evaluation processes within the College and coordinating with the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation.
- Ensuring the availability of quality-related data within the College and monitoring data accuracy.
- Monitoring the implementation of improvement plans at both course and program levels.
- Ensuring effective communication with graduates, employers, and faculty members through surveys and using feedback to improve programs.
- Contributing to spreading a culture of quality and academic accreditation practices within the College.
- Identifying training needs related to quality and academic accreditation and contributing to faculty development and training.
- Supporting, documenting, and following up on quality assurance activities in accordance with university standards and requirements.
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of the College’s development plans.
- Ensuring the quality of teaching and learning processes, scientific research, and community engagement in all college programs.
- Ensuring the use of appropriate teaching and assessment methods to achieve program learning outcomes.
- Ensuring the availability of facilities, equipment, and technical resources required for college activities.
- Ensuring the availability and electronic archiving of evidence and documents related to academic accreditation.
- Recommending the formation of committees and teams required to apply quality and accreditation standards.
- Chairing quality and academic accreditation meetings within the College and documenting them.
- Ensuring the quality of academic program specifications.
- Ensuring the quality of course specifications.
- Ensuring the quality of course reports.
- Reviewing and ensuring the quality of performance indicators and measurement tools.
- Evaluating program learning outcomes.
- Reviewing and ensuring the quality of annual reports for all college programs.
- Assessing the completeness and documentation of quality and accreditation requirements for all academic programs.
- Monitoring communication between academic programs and graduates, including maintaining graduate databases and alumni links.
- Monitoring alignment between labor market needs and the competencies of college graduates.
- Preparing quality assurance reports at the college level (performance indicators reports, survey reports, etc.).
- Preparing reports requested by the Vice Deanship of the College for Graduate Studies, Research, Innovation, and Quality.
Scientific Research and Training Unit
- Organizing scientific conferences and workshops for college staff.
- Establishing databases to support research projects and scientific output within the College.
- Encouraging interdisciplinary research collaboration within the College and with other university departments.
- Strengthening collaboration with research institutions and scientific research centers inside and outside the university.
- Proposing research initiatives aligned with national development priorities and the needs of the local community.
- Studying research topics proposed by the Vice Dean of the College for Graduate Studies, Research, Innovation, and Quality.
- Preparing an annual report covering all activities of the unit.
