The College of Medicine at Al-Baha University is one of the colleges of Al-Baha University in the university city of Al-Aqiq province in Al-Baha region. The college was established in 1429 AH corresponding to 2008, and teaching medical students started at the beginning of the academic year 1430/1431 AH. in 1436 AH the female student's section was opened. The leadership of Al-Baha University was keen to establish a medical college with excellence not only locally and regionally but also globally, and from this standpoint, the college worked on the applying a modern system, which has not been applied in many medical colleges in the Kingdom, which is the (Integrated system), where the same subject is studied again at a later stage, which provides a great opportunity to fully absorb the subject. The University Hospital is currently under construction.

College Advisory Board

The Advisory Board was founded based on the decision of the Colleges Council First meeting on 1442-1443 AH.  Figures and prestigious persons of the medical field were nominated to serve the Advisory Council achieving the goals set.

Council Goals:
• Achieving cooperation between the college and the community
• Achieving community partnership with community sectors and institutions
• Employing the expertise of council members in developing the college's outputs
• Completing the requirements for quality and academic accreditation.
• Developing and linking college outputs to match the needs of the labor market
• Expanding the circle of employment opportunities for college graduates


Council working mechanism:
• The dean of the college chairs the advisory board of the college
• The council, in its first session, chooses a secretary for the council.
• The Board meets at the invitation of its Chairman at least once a year.
• The council's sessions may be held inside or outside the college, and he may invite whoever he sees outside the council to attend its sessions.


Council duties:
• Provide suggestions that contribute to achieving the college's vision, mission and objectives
Providing suggestions and advice on everything that serves the development of the college's program and curricula in accordance with the requirements of the labor market
• Participation in the design and implementation of strategic plans for the college
Suggesting ways and means to provide funding sources for the college's developmental and future projects
• Coordination between the college and the relevant institutions that benefit from the graduates of the program in order to facilitate field training for the students of the program, and to participate in training and educational programs
• Touching the needs of the professional labor market and specialized employers to control the quality of the college's outputs
• Assisting in opening and expanding the fields of employment for college graduates.
• Coordination between the college and community sectors in order to find solutions to community problems in an integrated manner

Student Council

Enhancing Students role in the academic process Student Council was formed. A female and male student from every batch were nominated by other student.

Student Council Goals: 

1- Participation of college students in decision-making to develop their college in all fields.

2- Activating the role of male and female students in the process of quality and academic accreditation.

3- Communication between the college and its male and female students to help improve the academic process

And educational and service in the college to ensure the quality of the outputs.

4- Seeking the views of male and female students regarding the academic activities offered to them within the college

Classroom and services.

5- Providing advice and advice to the college leaders and management in areas of interest to the student

and female students.
 6- Cooperation to make the college the ideal place to receive knowledge and a fertile environment for imbuing with ideals

Ethics, acquaintance and harmony among all its employees.

7- Connecting male and female students to the college and activating their role in all its activities.

8- Clarifying the picture for the college students regarding some academic and administrative procedures which they may miss to realize its significance and clarify the interest belonging to them.
