The Institute of Studies and Consulting Services at Al-Baha University was established on 23/5/1433 AH to activate the university's leading and strategic role and contribute effectively to serving the community of Al-Baha region in particular and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, due to the university's specialists in various academic, research and administrative fields, as well as the availability of spatial, equitable and laboratory capabilities that enable all government and private sectors to benefit from all these elements to support social, economic, environmental and scientific development based on applied scientific research. Conducting studies, research, programs, plans and strategies, organizing meetings, conferences, seminars, panel discussions and workshops specialized in all topics of interest to society, and building investment partnerships with governmental and private bodies and institutions and others.

About the Unit

The Accounting Unit at the Institute is considered one of the most important supporting administrative units, as it is responsible for managing financial operations with a high level of efficiency and transparency. Its core tasks include the regular monitoring of revenues and expenditures, as well as the preparation of the required financial reports. The unit also prepares financial statements and the annual budget, reviewing them to ensure alignment with the approved strategic plans. In addition, it conducts audits of the final accounts to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial procedures.

The unit is also responsible for handling value-added tax (VAT) obligations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Furthermore, it completes transaction procedures in coordination with the financial controller. Through these efforts, the unit contributes to strengthening financial discipline, embedding principles of governance, and ensuring the optimal use of resources in a way that supports the Institute’s objectives with efficiency and effectiveness.
