Overview
The current age is full of computer applications in all aspects of life, starting with supper computers used in military, industry, and research. Then come multi-tasking personal computers used in business, and personal applications. Last, but not least, the embedded computers used to control other devices such as robots, traffic signals, electronic injection, smart phones, and home appliances.
The department offers a high-quality program aiming at preparing graduates highly-skilled in computer engineering so that they can compete in the work market and they can adapt themselves to its change.
Objectives
The department is keen about presenting a study plan conformed with the international standards and considers the diversity of the computer engineering field. The study plan provides the student with the theoretical and practical knowledge compatible with the international requirements of the computer Engineering area. It qualifies engineers who will take a part in the development of their country, national transformation, and implementing the Kingdom vision 2030.
Outcomes
Upon graduation, students are expected to be able to:
- Identify and apply knowledge of Mathematics and engineering for solving computer engineering problems.
- Design, implement and maintain efficient computer systems (Hardware/ Software) with the respect of the costumers needs and respecting realistic constraints.
- Work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.
- Understand professional and ethical responsibility in the computer engineer profession.
