Quality and Internal Audit Unit at the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation
About
This unit works on quality assurance in the performance of each college and department. It also supports the University's deanships and the different units of the University in accordance with the quality systems and plans needed to perform their duties. In addition, this unit works on the development of internal audit mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness and quality of academic and administrative processes at the University, as well as, the preparation of periodic reports to assess the quality, and developing different improvement plans.
Tasks
• Setting up an internal quality system in the faculties, deanships, departments and University units.
• Developing plans for quality assurance and monitoring them at the University level.
• Monitoring and evaluating policies and mechanisms that support the achievement of quality standards.
• Forming internal audit committees.
• Preparing the internal auditing forms required to meet eligibility requirements, and institutional and program accreditation criteria.
• Training the University's staff, programs, deanships and departments on how to complete the internal auditing forms.
• Verifying that the different units of the University meet the accreditation requirements and criteria at the institutional and program level.
• Ensuring that evidences are available for institutional and program accreditation standards.
• Training colleges, programs, deanships and departments using “Mock visits” in preparation for external audits.
• Examining quality documents and conducting a group interview with faculty members and other group interviews with students and staff.
• Conducting audits and evaluation of the performance of the faculties, programs and other units, submitting recommendations and proposals for improvement to those entities, and submitting their reports to the concerned bodies at the University.
• Reviewing the self-study report and ensuring that it meets the academic accreditation requirements.
• Ensuring that the quality system is implemented in the management of the program.
• Ensuring that the necessary equipment for the external review team is in accordance with the requirements of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
• Verifying that the program managers meet the recommendations stated in the report of external reviewers from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
