Department of Computer Science
About
Computer Department is one of the scientific departments in the Faculty of Science and literature in the compass has started this section with the beginning of the establishment of the College in the academic year 1429/1430 e students and computer students. The computer department started with a teaching plan for the computer science program, where three batches were graduated, and a number of graduates were sent to external missions. Beginning in 1433/1434, work was carried out in accordance with the plan of the College of Computers and Information. Graduates of this program are graduated from the beginning of the year 1436/1437.
The department has eight teaching staff with the rank of assistant professor, 2 members with a lecturer degree and 1 member with a lecturer degree.

Message
To create cadres with high competencies specialized in the field of computer science by preparing an advanced academic environment through the rehabilitation of scientific and research competencies characterized by creativity and innovation, and serving the local community through the dissemination of knowledge culture.
Objectives
The department aims to achieve the following objectives:
- 1- Providing distinguished academic courses of high quality and keeping abreast of what is new in the scientific fields and according to the approved plan.
- 2 - Contribute to the advancement of development by providing the community with graduates qualified scientifically and practically and able to rooting, innovation and development.
- 3. Preserving the Islamic heritage, enriching the cultural and intellectual life, and consolidating the supreme Islamic values and ideals to preserve the Kingdom's identity.
- 4 - attention to the quality of the educational process and support scientific research so that the college plays its role to serve the community and scientific research.
- 5 - Provide parallel programs such as a unique bridging program and diploma program that contribute to the preparation of different cadres and participate in the development and solution of the problems of the community.
- 6. Providing excellent academic and training services that meet the needs of the community and educational institutions.
- 7. To raise the level of academic performance among faculty members through evaluation standards and to provide the appropriate educational technologies to advance the educational process to the best possible.
- 8. Continuing pursuit of academic accreditation and continuous follow-up to the latest developments in science and participation in scientific conferences locally and internationally.

Academic Consulting
- The academic guidance in the department is activated through a courteous mechanism for the purpose of directing the students and instructing them to register their schedules and complete the study plan in a timely manner.
- A committee was formed from some faculty headed by the department supervisor for the purpose of designing the website for academic guidance services.

- Objective 1.1: The department should reach academic excellence and raise its scientific status among the departments of the college.
- Objective 1.2: To achieve excellence through acceptance and graduation of students academically and professionally qualified.
- Objective 1.3: to develop the section of the courses with commitment to the academic plan and to adhere strictly to the overall strategic plan of the University.
- Objective 1.4: to make the section of itself a strong section, which maintains its continuity
