PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Master of the Messengers. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the portal of Al-Baha University, which was established in 1427 AH (2006 AD) as a Saudi academic institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. Like other Saudi universities, Al-Baha University has received generous care and support from our wise leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — may Allah preserve them both — as well as from His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud, Governor of the Al-Baha Region, and His Excellency the Minister of Education and his Deputy for Universities, Research, and Innovation. This attention has brought about a remarkable transformation in the university’s scientific, academic, research, and community endeavors within the landscape of our beloved homeland’s universities. The university strives for excellence and innovation in higher education, scientific research, and community service. It is committed to providing opportunities for higher education and preparing an environment conducive to developing students’ capabilities and shaping their personalities. It also aims to offer distinguished teaching and research that contribute to building a knowledge-based society through a stimulating academic environment and optimal investment of resources. The university has charted for itself a path of continuous development guided by a set of values — integrity, responsibility, transparency, quality, recognition of achievement, and teamwork. It has taken strong, well-planned steps to advance its academic and administrative performance, with the goal of improving its processes and practices to serve students’ interests academically, scientifically, and educationally. As a result, the university has obtained institutional accreditation, in addition to signing agreements with the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation for program accreditation of several academic programs. I urge all members of the university community to exert their utmost efforts toward its advancement and to position it among the leading universities. May Allah grant us success in all that brings goodness, prosperity, and elevation to our society and our generous nation, and may He preserve our country, its security, stability, and its wise leadership.
