The Department of Chemistry is one of the departments of the College of Science. It was established since the establishment of the College of Science at Al-Baha University by Royal Decree 9682/MB dated 5/8/1426 H and its work began in the year 1427 H. The Department of Chemistry awards a bachelor's degree in chemistry. The department offers high-quality programs and prepares graduates with high skills that enable them to compete in the labor market and possess basic knowledge in chemistry and the basic sciences associated with practical experience in chemistry. The department works to enable students to effectively use appropriate knowledge in the field of specialization to contribute to innovative research, continue updating and developing knowledge and practical experiences, and acquire the necessary skills after graduation to enable them to engage in lifelong learning and the ability to work within multidisciplinary groups or teams. The department attracts highly qualified faculty members from various international universities and in various specializations that serve the field of chemistry and that contribute effectively to the fields of teaching, scientific research, and community service.
