Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy

The Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy at Al Baha University in Al Baha City was established according to the Royal decision 5088 on 7 / 8 / 1432 H. It is located in Al Baha region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its main campus in Al Aqiq province, about 30 km away from Al Baha town. The faculty was established for the improvement of the health services and the advancement of the pharmacy profession and to cope with the educational policy of the kingdom, which is distinguished by applying the most advances in the technology and sciences in various fields. The study began in faculty in the academic year 1432/1433 H to the male section while the female section started in the academic year 1438/1439 H.

Relationship between Program Mission and Goals

The introduction of the Pharm. D program is consistent with the mission and vision of Al Baha University to move the faculty of pharmacy towards recognition through accreditation from national and international agencies. Moreover, the Pharm. D bachelor degree will serve the society need for such professionals, as the current situation is partially attained through scholarships to study abroad. Graduates will be prepared to be of high professional caliber nationally and matching an international qualification of similar qualification.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Knowledge and Understanding:

K1 Describe essential biomedical, pharmaceutical, social, behavioral, administrative and clinical science knowledge related to development and use of medications, natural remedies, and other therapies for prevention and treatment.

K2 Mention terms and definitions, concepts and principles of various pharmacy practice settings.

K3 Recognize the rule of pharmacists according to legal, ethical and professional standards in promoting health and the prevention and treatment.

S1 Apply concepts, principles and theories in basic drug development skills in relevant settings.
