Quality education has been my objective of teaching English at large. This includes the assessment of courses learning outcomes and all the practices required. Part of my philosophy and practices in teaching English Literature and communication skills is determining the several learning outcomes of each course taught (Knowledge, Skills and Values) before the embarkment of teaching it. As far as the assessment of students' writing and speaking skills, I have designed a set of rubrics whose purpose is to render the assessment of these two delicate skills more objective than subjective. Course specifications provide a set of skills that students need to master by the end of each semester.
