Organic Chemistry

Fundamental principles of organic chemistry will be studied including the structure, bonding, properties and reactivity of organic molecules. Emphasis is placed on nomenclature, stereochemistry, structure and reactivity, reaction mechanisms, functional groups, and synthesis of simple molecules. This course includes laboratory practical that will reinforce the fundamental principles of organic chemistry including method for purification and identification of organic compounds.

This course introduces the principles of chemical analysis with an emphasis on classic analytical methods. It covers the fundamentals of statistical data analysis, equilibrium systems, precipitations reactions, acid-base titration, and theory of acid - base indicators, different titration curves, oxidation reduction titrations, complexometric, electrochemistry, and principles of spectroscopy application.
