Dr. Najib Ben Aoun

Najib Ben Aoun received his Master’s, Ph.D. and University Habilitation (HdR) in Computer Systems Engineering from Sfax University, Tunisia, in 2008, 2014, and 2024, respectively. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Information, Al-Baha University, KSA, and a senior researcher with REGIM-Lab, Tunisia. With +20 years of teaching and student supervision experience, his research focuses on AI, computer vision, medical image analysis, and data science. He has published extensively in leading journals and conferences, serves as editor for several reputed journals (Scientific Reports, PLoS ONE, JCS) and book series (Springer, Frontiers, CRC Press) and regularly organizes and reviews for international conferences. He is an IEEE Senior Member and a member of ACM, IAPR, etc

Final Year Projects represent the culmination of study towards the Bachelor of Information Technology degree. This course represents an extension of the Senior Project for IT1 course. It will focus on system design improvement, implementation, optimization, test and validation. At the end of this course, the project has to be totally delivered. The students are required to present their work through a project report, oral presentation, poster and system demonstration.
